Dr. Iseko Iyoko Iseko is a Consultant Physician and Interventional Cardiologist at Cardiocare Specialty Hospital in Abuja, Nigeria, where he pioneered Northern Nigeria's first indigenous ultramodern catheterization laboratory. He earned his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University in 2006, completed his internal medicine and cardiology residency at University College Hospital Ibadan, and achieved Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Cardiology in 2015. Dr. Iseko also holds an MBA in International Healthcare Management from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
As one of fewer than seven independent practicing interventional cardiologists in Nigeria, he specializes in complex coronary interventions including chronic total occlusions and left main disease, peripheral vascular interventions for critical limb ischemia, and cardiac device implantations including pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization therapy. With additional training from Medtronic Turkey and India's Meril Academy, Dr. Iseko has performed pioneering procedures including left bundle branch area pacing. Beyond his clinical practice, he convenes the annual Abuja Cardiovascular Symposium, now in its sixth edition, which brings together over 500 medical professionals for hands-on training in cardiovascular medicine.
Through his leadership in establishing advanced cardiac infrastructure and commitment to medical education, Dr. Iseko is expanding access to sophisticated cardiovascular interventions in Northern Nigeria and across the country.
