Dr. Sadiya Salele Iro is a Senior Registrar in Cardiology at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano, Nigeria. She earned her MBBS from Bayero University, Kano, in 2015 and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Medical Degree at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
Dr. Iro has extensive experience in patient care, clinical cardiology, and medical education. She provides comprehensive cardiac care through outpatient consultations, echocardiography, and inpatient management, including leading ward rounds and responding to emergencies. She also teaches and mentors medical students, house officers, and junior registrars, combining both theoretical instruction and practical training.
Her research interests span cardiovascular disease management and risk reduction, and she has been involved in several academic projects and group studies. She was recognized as the Overall Best Candidate in the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria Examinations (November 2022).
In the future, beyond her clinical and academic work, Dr. Iro is committed to advancing cardiovascular care in Nigeria and building capacity through training and mentorship of future physicians.
