Nicola Innes is a Specialised Radiographer in Cardiac & Interventional theatres in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Scotland. She is also the department Practice Educator Facilitator. Prior to commencing employment in Aberdeen she worked in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh within the Interventional, Cardiology, MRI and CT imaging departments.
She successfully completed her First Class Honours degree in 2003 at Glasgow Caledonian University with her dissertation focussing on radiation protection in theatres.
Nicola has a strong passion for radiation protection techniques, which is often last thought of when establishing a new service.
At home Nicola lives with her husband, son and daughter. She has a love for design both inside the home and in the garden.
She was thrilled to recently be involved in the education and training of the Cardiology department in the Sir Edward Small Teaching Hospital in The Gambia, and looks forward to the future development of The Gambian health service.
