Dr. Uzoma Ibebuogu is a tenured Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Preventive medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis where he also serves as the director of interventional cardiology fellowship. He has practiced cardiology, interventional cardiology and structural heat disease interventions for the past 12 years in the Memphis area.
He graduated from the prestigious College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and completed his internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He subsequently underwent his interventional cardiology fellowship and structural heart disease training at the University of California Los Angeles/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center program.
His area of research interest includes transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter renal denervation for uncontrolled hypertension and preventive cardiology. Dr. Ibebuogu enjoys volunteering, medical missions as a very important part of the CVEF, playing table tennis and soccer.
