Chaudhary, Rahul, MD

Dr. Rahul Chaudhary is Chief Medical Officer at HBox and a cardiologist at the VA Pittsburgh Health System, where he also completed fellowship as a T32 NIH Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Dr. Chaudhary brings a unique combination of clinical excellence, business acumen, and technical expertise to cardiovascular innovation. 

He earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, completed internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins, and cardiology fellowship at UPMC. He holds an MBA from Kelley School of Business and a Master's in Computer Science specializing in Machine Learning from Georgia Tech. 

A prolific researcher with over 150 peer-reviewed publications and 20 book chapters, including guideline citations, Dr. Chaudhary founded AI-HEART Lab, an innovation hub architecting foundational AI technologies for cardiovascular medicine. At HBox, he leads clinical strategy for data-driven virtual care solutions for patients with chronic cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. 

His work focuses on translating cutting-edge AI and precision medicine tools—integrating genomics, biomarkers, and machine learning—into real-world clinical impact. Dr. Chaudhary represents the vanguard of physician-scientists building the next generation of AI-powered cardiovascular care.
