Dr. Adebayo Atanda completed his medical education at the University of Ilorin in Nigeria and his residency at Howard University in Washington, DC, where he served as Chief Resident. He then pursued general cardiology training at George Washington University and completed advanced heart failure and transplant training at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. 


Dr. Atanda has received numerous accolades, including being a finalist at the ABC Scientific Conference and a recipient of the Young Investigator Travel Award from the NMA/NIH. With over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals, he is also a healthcare policy expert in Washington, DC, and dedicates time to mentoring in his community. 


Currently, Dr. Atanda practices as an Advanced Heart Failure physician in Winchester, Virginia.

The Cardiovascular Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) international nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cardiovascular education, research and patient care in Africa and the African Diaspora.
