Dr. Mohammed Abdullahi Talle is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Maiduguri and an honorary consultant Physician/Cardiologist at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. He graduated with an MBBS from the University of Maiduguri in 1998 and obtained his fellowship from the West African College of Physicians in Internal Medicine/Cardiology in 2008. He completed additional cardiology training at Tygerberg Hospital/Stellenbosch University as an international fellow (2008-2010).


Dr. Talle earned an MSc in Human Physiology (2007), an MSc in Cardiovascular Sciences with distinction from the University of Glasgow (2015), and was awarded a PhD in Medicine by Stellenbosch University in 2023. His doctoral research utilized cardiac MRI and biomarkers to characterize morphological and functional changes in hypertensive crises.


He serves as an assessor/examiner at the West African College of Physicians and was a member of Nigeria's National Research Fund Committee (2019-2023). Dr. Talle has published over 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals, focusing on hypertension, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, cardiac imaging, and nephrocardiology.


The Cardiovascular Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) international nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cardiovascular education, research and patient care in Africa and the African Diaspora.
