Dr. Deepa Raghunathan is an Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She completed her cardiovascular disease fellowship at UTHealth, where she served as Chief Fellow, after internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

Dr. Raghunathan currently serves as Associate Program Director of the UTHealth Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, Program Director of the Research in Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, and Director of the UTHealth Structural Imaging Program. She is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac computed tomography.

Her clinical expertise focuses on advanced cardiac imaging, particularly structural echocardiography and strain imaging. She is actively involved in clinical trials as a co-investigator for transcatheter valve interventions and has authored numerous publications on structural heart disease and advanced echocardiographic techniques. Dr. Raghunathan regularly presents at national and international conferences and serves as Director of the Education Committee for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
