Dr. Oladipupo Olafiranye is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he also serves as Associate Chief of Cardiology, Chief of Interventional Cardiology, and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the VA North Texas Health Care System. 


Dr. Olafiranye earned his medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and completed his internship there before pursuing additional training at St. George's University in Grenada. He then came to the United States for his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York, followed by interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Committed to advancing clinical research and leadership, he earned a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Research from the University of Pittsburgh, along with a certificate in Healthcare Leadership and Business Fundamentals. 


A distinguished authority in interventional cardiology, Dr. Olafiranye's scholarly contributions and dedication to both community and global health initiatives continue to impact countless lives through his clinical excellence and academic leadership
