Dr. Olawale Olabiyi is Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiology Consultants of South Texas and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Systems in San Antonio. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, where he conducted extensive cardiovascular outcomes research at the Mid America Heart Institute. He completed his pediatric residency at Children's Mercy Hospital and Clinics and his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine.


Dr. Olabiyi is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and serves on multiple hospital committees and professional boards, including August Heart, where he works to prevent sudden death in teenage athletes. He has been actively involved in quality improvement initiatives, serving as QI Director for MEDNAX Cardiology Quality Collaborative and Program Manager for the American College of Cardiology's Adult Congenital and Pediatric Cardiology Quality Network.


A passionate advocate for global health, Dr. Olabiyi has participated in numerous humanitarian cardiac missions to Nigeria through Hospitals for Humanity and other organizations. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and is a sought-after educator and speaker, with presentations at international conferences including the World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.


The Cardiovascular Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) international nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cardiovascular education, research and patient care in Africa and the African Diaspora.
