Dr. Amole Ojo is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and cardiac electrophysiologist at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. He earned his medical degree from Rostov State Medical University in Russia, completed internal medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital, cardiology fellowship at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center, and electrophysiology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Ojo specializes in catheter ablation of complex arrhythmias, cardiac device implantation including leadless and subcutaneous systems, and cardioneural ablation.
He is also a dedicated educator who received the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year Award from URMC's Cardiology Division. He serves as Vice Chair of the Heart Rhythm Society's Core Concepts in EP Committee and is a member of the ABIM Cardiovascular Disease Item-Writing Task Force. His research focuses on risk stratification for ventricular arrhythmias in ICD patients, with recent publications examining digoxin's effects on arrhythmia risk and factors associated with failed ICD shocks. Through his clinical work and commitment to serving underserved areas in New York's Southern Tier, Dr. Ojo combines advanced electrophysiology expertise with a dedication to expanding access to specialized cardiac rhythm care.
