Dr. Gbolahan Ogunbayo, is an interventional cardiologist who serves as Director of the Chest Pain, Heart Failure, and Cardiac Imaging programs at Ephraim McDowell Health in Danville, Kentucky. 


Dr. Ogunbayo completed his internal medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital in New York, where he served as chief resident, followed by cardiovascular and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Kentucky's Gill Heart & Vascular Institute. Originally from Nigeria where he earned his medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, he is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. A prolific researcher with over 100 publications, he specializes in high-risk PCI, cardiogenic shock, and mechanical circulatory support. 


Beyond his clinical excellence, Dr. Ogunbayo is passionate about community education and uses his platform to teach about cardiovascular health, particularly to Nigerian audiences. His personal motto, #begreaterthanaverage, reflects his commitment to inspiring others to reach their full potential.
