Professor Augustine Nonso Odili serves as President of the Nigerian Cardiac Society and Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Abuja. 

Professor Odili earned his MBBS and PhD, and is a Fellow of the Medical College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, and Nigerian Cardiac Society. Since joining the University of Abuja in 2009 as a pioneer faculty member in Internal Medicine, he has risen to become an honorary consultant cardiologist at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital. 

In 2016, with support from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, he established the Circulatory Health Research Laboratory, where he leads multidisciplinary research spanning from basic science to implementation science. Professor Odili has served in key leadership roles including Director of Research and Innovation and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences. 

A Bernard Lown Visiting Scholar at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, he is also a faculty member of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and external examiner to multiple Nigerian medical schools. His visionary leadership continues to shape cardiovascular medicine and research across Nigeria.
