Dr. Mela is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the division of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Harvard Medical School. She trained in the University of Athens School of Medicine for her medical degree, after which she underwent training in internal medicine, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at St Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital and University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center, all in the Boston Area.
Presently, she serves as director of the lead management program, and is also a principal investigator in clinical trials, having been involved in the BLOCK HF trial, and VEST trial. Most recently, she was an integral part in teaching left bundle pacing in Nigeria as part of CVEF.
