Ramesh Singh, MBBCh, MRCS is a board-certified cardiac surgeon at Inova Health specializing in thoracic aortic surgery, robotic coronary revascularization, and mechanical circulatory support. He serves as Surgical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support and Shock Programs, where he has helped develop and expand advanced ECMO and cardiogenic shock services. Dr. Singh also established and leads the Washington, DC region's only robotic coronary revascularization program.


Dr. Singh earned his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland before completing general surgery residency at the University of Virginia and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Colorado. He is an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the University of Virginia and an active investigator in multiple multicenter clinical trials. His academic interests include cardiogenic shock, heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and advanced surgical therapies for complex cardiovascular disease. A frequent invited speaker at national and international meetings, Dr. Singh is committed to advancing innovation, education, and excellence in cardiac surgery.
