Deepa Raghunathan, MD, FASE, FACC is a cardiologist, multimodality imaging specialist, and Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She serves as Associate Program Director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, Program Director of the Research in Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, and Director of the Structural Imaging Program at Memorial Hermann Hospital–Texas Medical Center.
Dr. Raghunathan specializes in structural heart imaging, echocardiography, valvular heart disease, preventive cardiology, heart failure, and coronary artery disease. A nationally recognized educator, she has developed innovative fellowship curricula, established advanced training programs in structural echocardiography, and mentors the next generation of cardiovascular specialists. Her research focuses on structural heart disease, cardiovascular imaging, and improving outcomes through clinical innovation and technology, including wearable health monitoring and artificial intelligence.
A Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography, Dr. Raghunathan is an accomplished investigator, educator, and frequent invited speaker. Through her leadership in cardiovascular imaging, medical education, and clinical research, she is committed to advancing excellence in patient care and physician training.
