Amole Ojo, MD, FACC, FHRS is a cardiac electrophysiologist and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, he specializes in the management of complex cardiac arrhythmias, including catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as advanced cardiac device therapy, cardioneuralablation, and epicardial mapping and ablation.


Dr. Ojo earned his medical degree with honors from Rostov State Medical University in Russia before returning to Nigeria, where he worked at several institutions including Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex and the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital. He subsequently completed Internal Medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital, Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School.


An accomplished clinician-investigator and educator, Dr. Ojo's research focuses on ventricular arrhythmias, implantable cardiac devices, atrial fibrillation, and cardiovascular outcomes. He is actively involved in clinical trials and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in cardiac electrophysiology.


Dr. Ojo is also deeply committed to cardiovascular education and mentorship. He holds national educational leadership roles with the Heart Rhythm Society, contributes to the American Board of Internal Medicine Cardiovascular Disease Item-Writing Task Force, and regularly teaches fellows, residents, and medical students. His work combines procedural expertise, clinical research, and education to advance the care of patients with complex cardiac rhythm disorders.
