Dr. Natasha Noel is a pediatric cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, practicing at OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois. She serves as Director of the Pediatric Lipid Clinic and Lead Cardiologist for the Rockford location, with clinical interests spanning congenital heart disease, preventive pediatric cardiology, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and cardiovascular care in rural and resource-limited settings.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Noel earned her medical degree from the University of the West Indies. She completed Pediatrics residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, and Clinical Lipidology.
Her career has uniquely combined pediatric cardiology with community-based care, education, and global health. She teaches medical students and rural family medicine residents, mentorstrainees through the American College of Cardiology, and serves on the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Global Health Committee.
Dr. Noel’s experience caring for children in community and resource-limited settings, including coordinating international cardiac transfers, has shaped her particular interest in practical approaches to pediatric cardiovascular care when specialist services and timely transfer may not be readily available.
