Dr. Muhammad Niazi is an endovascular neurointerventionalist with WellSpan Neurosurgery in York, Pennsylvania, specializing in the evaluation and minimally invasive treatment of complex cerebrovascular disease. Dr. Niazi earned his medical degree from Punjab Medical College in Pakistan and completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He subsequently completed Neurology residency and Vascular Neurology fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, followed by advanced fellowship training in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
His academic interests focus on acute stroke intervention, endovascular thrombectomy, cerebrovascular imaging, and optimization of systems of stroke care. He has presented extensively at national and international neurological and stroke meetings and remains active in clinical research exploring new approaches to the treatment and delivery of acute stroke care.
