Dr. Wilson Lam is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and a cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in adults with congenital heart disease. Uniquely trained across both pediatric and adult medicine, he completed combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency, Adult and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship within the Baylor College of Medicine system.
His clinical and academic work focuses on some of the most challenging aspects of electrophysiology in congenital heart disease, including complex catheter ablation, physiologic and resynchronization pacing, lead extraction and long-term lead management, and device therapy for heart failure. He has been particularly involved in advancing innovative pacing strategies for patients with complex congenital anatomy.
Dr. Lam is also a longstanding medical educator and serves as Associate Program Director for Baylor’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. Nationally, he is well known for his involvement with the American College of Cardiology’s Fellow-in-Training Cardiology Jeopardy program and is a frequent invited speaker on congenital electrophysiology, lead management, and device therapy.
