Kofi Tekyi Asamoah MBBCh, MSc

Kofi Tekyi Asamoah, MB, ChB, MSc is a cardiologist at the National Cardiothoracic Centre, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana, and is currently completing advanced fellowship training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Severance Cardiovascular Hospital, Yonsei University College of Medicine, South Korea. His clinical interests include cardiac arrhythmias, preventive cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, and the development of electrophysiology services in West Africa.

Dr. Asamoah earned his medical degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and completed specialist training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology through the West African College of Physicians. He also holds a Master of Science with Distinction in Preventive Cardiovascular Medicine from the University of South Wales. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as a lecturer at Family Health University Medical School and as an external examiner for the University of Ghana Medical School.

An accomplished educator and investigator, Dr. Asamoah has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on cardiovascular disease prevention, health systems, and cardiovascular care in low-resource settings. His vision is to establish sustainable, world-class cardiac electrophysiology services throughout Ghana and West Africa while advancing cardiovascular care through education, research, and international collaboration.
