Kofi Osei MD

Dr. Kofi Osei is a cardiac electrophysiologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at Marshall University, where he practices at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, his clinical interests include complex arrhythmia management, catheter ablation, cardiac implantable electronic devices, physiologic pacing, and advanced device therapies.

Originally from Accra, Ghana, Dr. Osei earned his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School and subsequently completed an MSc in Clinical Trials through the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University of Ghana. He completed Internal Medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center/Quinnipiac University, followed by Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at MercyOne/Iowa Heart and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City/Mid-America Heart Institute.

Dr. Osei has maintained a strong commitment to academic medicine throughout his career, with longstanding roles in resident and fellow education, mentorship, and research. His scholarly work spans catheter ablation, device therapy, physiologic pacing, remote monitoring, heart failure, and innovative approaches to complex electrophysiologic procedures. He has presented his work nationally and published in leading cardiovascular and electrophysiology journals.

A Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society, Dr. Osei is passionate about physician education, mentorship, and advancing contemporary electrophysiology care. His career reflects a commitment to combining clinical innovation, scholarship, and education to improve care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
