Kelechi O. Weze, MBBS, DrPH is an interventional and structural cardiologist with advanced fellowship training from Johns Hopkins Hospital. His clinical expertise includes complex coronary intervention, transcatheter structural heart therapies, intracardiac imaging, and mechanical circulatory support, with particular interests in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER), and catheter-based treatment of valvular heart disease.


Dr. Weze earned both his Master of Public Health in Global Health and Doctor of Public Health degrees from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health before completing residency at Howard University Hospital, general cardiology fellowship at Morehouse School of Medicine, and advanced fellowships in Interventional and Structural Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology.


An accomplished clinician-scientist, Dr. Weze's research focuses on structural heart disease, coronary artery disease, health disparities, thromboembolic disease, and cardiovascular outcomes research. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally on innovative structural heart interventions and complex coronary disease. Through his work in patient care, research, and physician education, he is committed to advancing equitable access to innovative cardiovascular therapies and improving outcomes for patients with complex cardiovascular disease.
