Dr. Iseko Iseko is a Consultant Physician and Interventional Cardiologist at Cardiocare Specialty Hospital in Abuja and Group Managing Director of the Limi Hospital Group. He has played a leading role in developing advanced cardiovascular services in Northern Nigeria, including establishing the region’s first indigenous modern cardiac catheterization program.
Dr. Iseko earned his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University and completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology residency at University College Hospital, Ibadan, becoming a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Cardiology. He also holds an MBA in International Healthcare Management from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
His clinical practice spans complex coronary intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, and cardiac device therapy, including pacemakers, ICDs, CRT, and conduction system pacing. He has pursued additional advanced training in interventional cardiology and device therapy in Nigeria, Türkiye, and India and has been actively involved with CVEF in cardiovascular skills transfer and capacity-building initiatives.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Iseko is passionate about healthcare leadership, education, and building sustainable cardiovascular systems. He founded and convenes the annual Abuja Cardiovascular Symposium, while his broader work focuses on developing local expertise and reducing dependence on medical tourism for advanced cardiovascular care.
