She completed Internal Medicine residency and served as Chief Medical Resident at Michigan State University, followed by Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and Chief Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida Jacksonville.
Her academic interests span coronary and structural heart disease, hypertension, cardiovascular risk reduction, and improving cardiovascular outcomes in underserved populations. She is also an active educator involved in the training of medical students and residents.
Dr. Efeovbokhanis an integral member of the Cardiovascular Education Foundation (CVEF), donating her time to cardiovascular education and capacity-building initiatives. She has chaired and presented at CVEF educational programs and volunteered in cardiovascular outreach efforts in Nigeria, reflecting her commitment to strengthening cardiovascular care and training both at home and abroad.
