AkaniboDa Wariboko, MD is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Houston Methodist, where he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias, catheter ablation, and cardiac implantable electronic devices. He serves as Electrophysiology Laboratory Director at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital and is committed to advancing high-quality, patient-centered arrhythmia care.


Dr. Da Wariboko earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua before completing residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Houston Methodist Hospital, where he joined the faculty following graduation.


In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Da Wariboko is actively involved in cardiovascular education and mentorship. As a member of the Cardiovascular Education Foundation's Electrophysiology team, he contributes to international educational initiatives focused on expanding access to electrophysiology expertise and strengthening cardiac rhythm care in underserved communities. Through his work in clinical practice, education, and global collaboration, he remains committed to advancing the field of cardiac electrophysiology both locally and internationally.

The Cardiovascular Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) international nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cardiovascular education, research and patient care in Africa and the African Diaspora.
