Chima Nwagbaoso MBBS

Chimaobi Nwagboso, MBBS is a cardiothoracic surgeon with a special interest in thoracic surgical oncology, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, and expanding access to high-quality cardiothoracic care in underserved communities. He was awarded the prestigious American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) Foundation Jack A. Roth Fellowship in Thoracic Surgical Oncology in recognition of his commitment to academic excellence and advanced training in thoracic surgery.

Dr. Nwagboso is actively involved in surgical education, research, and international collaboration focused on strengthening cardiothoracic surgical capacity. He also volunteers with the VOOM Foundation, where he participates in cardiac surgery missions, education, and capacity-building initiatives in Nigeria. Through his dedication to patient care, mentorship, and global health, Dr. Nwagboso is committed to advancing the future of cardiothoracic surgery across Africa.
