Ceeya Patton Bolman MSN

Ceeya Patton Bolman, MSN is a pediatric critical care nurse, global health leader, and Co-Founder of Team Heart, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to cardiac care in Rwanda. A third-generation nurse, she began her career at Duke University before earning a Master of Nursing in Children from Saint Louis University. Throughout her career, she has combined clinical expertise with a passion for global health, including early work helping establish pediatric cardiac surgery services in Poland through Project HOPE.

Inspired by firsthand encounters with the devastating impact of rheumatic heart disease in Rwanda, Ms. Bolman co-founded Team Heart with her husband, Dr. Chip Bolman, in 2009. Since then, she has led the organization's operational and strategic efforts, coordinating multidisciplinary volunteer teams, organizing medical missions, and working with Rwandan partners to develop sustainable cardiac care programs focused on prevention, education, and life-saving treatment.

As a full-time volunteer, Ms. Bolman travels regularly to Rwanda and continues to champion Team Heart's vision of building a comprehensive cardiac center that will provide advanced cardiovascular care for millions of people with limited access to specialized services. Her work exemplifies the power of nursing leadership, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to global cardiovascular health.
