Interventional Cardiology
Consultant Cardiologist
Massachusetts General Hospital
Boston, Massachusetts, USA
Dr. Carl Turissini is an interventional cardiologist with Massachusetts General Hospital and Mass General Brigham, where he has practiced interventional cardiology for nearly three decades. He earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Tufts Medical Center.
His clinical practice encompasses general and interventional cardiology, with particular expertise in cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty, and stent-based interventions.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Turissini has dedicated a significant part of his career to expanding access to advanced cardiovascular care in resource-limited settings through the Boston Cardiac Foundation. He coordinated its angioplasty program in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and has played a central role in developing cardiac services at Hôpital Sacré Coeur in Milot, Haiti, while supporting ongoing cardiovascular missions and training of local teams.
His work reflects a longstanding commitment to translating interventional expertise into sustainable cardiovascular programs for communities where access to advanced cardiac care remains limited.
