Mary Branch MD, MS is a non-invasive cardiologist with expertise in cardio-oncology and cardiovascular disease prevention, currently practicing at Owensboro Health in Western Kentucky. She previously practiced at Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she helped develop and expand a dedicated cardio-oncology program serving patients with cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Branch earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed a cardiovascular research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She trained in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina and completed her Cardiology fellowship and Master of Science degree at Wake Forest University, with research focused on cardio-oncology and cardiovascular health disparities.
Her academic work focuses on cardiovascular complications of cancer therapy, preventive cardio-oncology, and disparities in cardiovascular care. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented and moderated at national meetings of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and Association of Black Cardiologists. She is also committed to community health education and mentorship, using both traditional and digital media to expand access to reliable cardiovascular health information.
