Dr. Seyi Bolorunduro is an interventional cardiologist with expertise in coronary and peripheral interventions, cardiovascular research, and global health. He practices with NOVA Cardiovascular Care in Northern Virginia, with hospital affiliations including Inova Fairfax Hospital, Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, and Stafford Hospital.
Dr. Bolorunduro graduated as valedictorian from the University of Ilorin College of Medicine in Nigeria and subsequently received a full-tuition Global Health Scholarship to earn his MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed Internal Medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center, Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he served as Chief Fellow for Academics, and Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Columbia University/New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
His academic work has focused on cardiovascular outcomes, disparities in access to care, and coronary and peripheral vascular disease. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and received multiple research awards, including recognition from the American College of Cardiology and Association of Black Cardiologists.
A longstanding member of the Cardiovascular Education Foundation, Dr. Bolorunduro is deeply committed to translating advanced cardiovascular care to resource-limited settings through physician training, health-system strengthening, and sustainable capacity development. His work brings together interventional cardiology, global health, and a commitment to reducing disparities in cardiovascular care.
