Asishana Osho MD

Asishana A. Osho, MD, MPH is a cardiac surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. His clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery, with particular expertise in heart and lung transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, coronary revascularization, valve surgery, and advanced heart failure.

Dr. Osho is an accomplished surgeon-scientist whose research spans cardiothoracic surgery, health services research, and clinical trial design. His work focuses on improving outcomes after cardiac surgery through innovative approaches to perioperative care and the application of clinical research to surgical practice. He was awarded the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital Physician-Scientist Development Award for his prospective clinical trial evaluating a standardized pharmaco-surgical approach and wearable biosensors to reduce postoperative atrial fibrillation following cardiac surgery.
