Ahmed Zaghloul MD

Ahmed Zaghloul, MD is an interventional and structural cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. His clinical interests include complex coronary intervention, structural heart disease, and transcatheter therapies for valvular heart disease.

Dr. Zaghloul completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Connecticut before pursuing advanced cardiovascular training. He completed fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Iowa, followed by dedicated fellowship training in Structural Heart Disease at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he subsequently joined the faculty.

His clinical and academic work focuses on contemporary catheter-based approaches to complex cardiovascular disease, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement and other structural heart interventions. He has contributed to research examining structural heart disease, coronary disease, and outcomes following cardiovascular interventions.

Dr. Zaghloul is committed to combining technical innovation, evidence-based practice, and multidisciplinary collaboration to expand the role of minimally invasive therapies in the care of patients with complex cardiovascular disease.
